Points Path Adds Mileage Tracking, Raises Price October 1
The Points Path Google Flights extension now syncs loyalty account balances and shows which awards users can afford.
Points Path is raising the price of its Pro subscription on October 1, 2026. The tool, which displays airline award prices next to cash fares in Google Flights, has added a new Points Wallet feature for tracking mileage balances.
The Points Wallet syncs user loyalty account balances and uses that data during flight searches. This allows travelers to see immediately which award flights they have enough miles to book. The wallet is now available to Pro and Founders Club members, supporting 17 airline programs and automatically syncing with six supported bank programs. Users sign into their airline accounts directly; the extension then updates balances in the background without storing login credentials.
A free version of the Wallet is in development. It would sync the same five airline programs included in the free flight search tool-Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, and United-plus one bank program of the user's choice. The company's founder, Julian, is targeting early in the fourth quarter to add support for hotel programs and the ability to manage accounts for multiple family members.
Free vs. Pro Features
The core free extension searches award availability for five U.S. Airlines: Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, and United, including their partner airlines. It displays award prices, indicates if miles represent a good value, shows bank transfer partners and bonuses, and provides a direct link to book. It also searches true roundtrip award pricing, which can differ from combining two one-way awards.
Paying for the Pro tier, currently priced at $79.99 per year, expands the search to 12 additional airline loyalty programs. The full list of programs searched in the Pro tier is as follows:
Pro also includes several other features. Users get 30 flight alerts and three Flex Alerts to monitor award price changes. A seven-day points calendar shows availability around a searched date, with current support for Alaska, American, Delta, JetBlue, United, Qantas, Virgin Australia, and Etihad. Search results can reflect Delta and United credit card holder award discounts for eligible travelers. Subscribers can also set custom point valuations for cash-versus-miles recommendations and access a Lufthansa first class dashboard.
Subscription Price Increase Details
The Pro subscription price will increase on October 1, 2026. Users who purchase an annual Pro subscription before that date will lock in the current $79.99 rate for one year. Existing paid subscribers have a separate offer: they can secure one additional year at their current subscription price before the October 1 increase. This is described as a one-year price protection, not a lifetime rate guarantee.
The Founders Club tier, which includes Pro plus more alerts and premium support, is currently closed to new members. The report notes that the free extension may suffice for travelers who only need to compare awards from the five major U.S. Airlines against cash prices. Similarly, the planned free Wallet could be adequate for those who only need to track balances from those five airlines and one bank. The tool's appeal, according to the source, is consolidating award searches that would otherwise require visiting individual airline websites.
Flight alerts are highlighted as useful even after booking, providing a chance to reprice an award if the mileage cost drops. The standalone Points Path extension is separate from its integration within the Bilt travel app, which focuses on Bilt's transfer partners.
