JetBlue Overhauls TrueBlue with Elite Upgrades in 2027
JetBlue will expand complimentary BlueFirst upgrades to all Mosaic elite tiers starting February 1, 2027, part of a broader TrueBlue program update that adds new certificates, companion passes, and enhanced point earning.

JetBlue announced sweeping TrueBlue benefit updates effective February 1, 2027, including complimentary BlueFirst upgrades for all Mosaic members. The airline, Nasdaq: JBLU, detailed the changes on January 25, 2027. The expansion includes complimentary, space-available BlueFirst upgrades for all Mosaic members and up to one traveling companion on eligible fares. BlueFirst upgrades are complimentary and subject to availability, with restrictions on fare types and flight availability.
Elite upgrade priorities and rules
All Mosaic tiers will be eligible for one companion upgrade. Upgrades will be processed 60 minutes prior to departure for all elites. Non-elite passengers holding a JetBlue Premier credit card and using it for ticket purchase will also receive complimentary upgrades.
A clear priority order will be applied within each elite tier. Co-branded card users have first priority for upgrades. They are followed by passengers who purchased an EvenMore fare. The final priority goes to members based on the number of Mosaic tiles earned in the current program year.
TrueBlue award seats are eligible for upgrades. Basic fare bookings, whether purchased with cash or points, are not eligible.
New tier-specific perks and benefits
Mosaic tier members gain new certificate options, companion passes, and enhanced point earning opportunities. Members at the M2, M3, and M4 tiers can choose a Premium Upgrade Certificate as a perk. Mosaic 2 members select one through the Perks You Pick menu. Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4 members receive certificates as part of their core benefits.
Higher-tier members receive valuable companion passes. M3 members can receive a companion pass valued up to $500. M4 members can receive a companion pass valued up to $1500.
Point earning is also enhanced. Under the new rules, a Mosaic 3 member could receive 20 Mosaic tiles and 20,000 TrueBlue points. This represents 5,000 more points than the old system provided.
Mosaic 3 and Mosaic 4 members will have expanded Perks You Pick options. These include larger points bonuses and new ways to share benefits. Mosaic 4 members can gift Mosaic 3 status or a BlueHouse Lounge Membership. They can also earn additional Premium Upgrade Certificates for every 100 additional Tiles earned.
Mosaic 1 members can gift 10 tiles to another member.
Premier Cardmember enhancements
Premier Cardholders at higher Mosaic tiers receive significant point multipliers and companion travel credits. Primary Premier Cardmembers reaching Mosaic 3 or Mosaic 4 can select companion travel benefits. These provide up to $500 or $1,500 as a statement credit.
Spending multipliers are also increasing. Premier Cardmembers at Mosaic 3 or Mosaic 4 will earn an additional 3x points on certain categories. This results in a total of 5x TrueBlue points per $1 spent at eligible grocery stores and restaurants. The bonus applies on up to $50,000 in combined purchases annually.
All announced changes to the TrueBlue loyalty program take effect on February 1, 2027.
